Kranz Family| Family Session at Highbank Metro Park
It was mid August and I realized..
I NEVER booked my families fall session! Any photographer (or long time client) can tell you that I book out for fall sessions starting in June, as do many other photographers. I try to have my family pictures taken by a new photographer every year and with the roller coaster that 2020 has been, it simply slipped my mind. I had no one in mind and didn’t even know where to start. I knew I had to pick someone comfortable with feral children as I am almost certain my 3 year old, Conner wasn’t born, but hatched instead.
Just then, a saw a STUNNING sunflower session tagged on the Lynd Fruit Farm facebook page and it made me reach out to the talented photographer, Jessica Kranz!
To my shock, she asked if we could swap sessions! WHAT!! I immediately got nervous and began to doubt myself (I am my own worst critic) and must have typed, deleted, retyped my response 10 times before I said “Sure!! Lets swap!”
I had butterflies when I pulled up to the shoot and because we decided to take our pictures on the same day, I had all three of my sons with me when I was getting prepared for the shoots. My family when first and I have to say, due to my wild toddler, Jessica definitely spent some extra time on my family as Conner refused to pose and only wanted to skip rocks. She got some amazing pictures and when it came time for her family’s session, they did NOT disappoint. Her sons were SO well behaved and posed so perfectly. Jessica had told me that they wanted to do a formal shot for Christmas cards but WOW, the outfits, posing and family totally knocked it out of the park!!
By the sessions end, we had laughed, hopped through the water at Highbanks Park and threw in a few “That’s what she said” jokes to get a few laughs.
I have a few spots open on Saturday November 21, and a few weekends open in December so if you want to get your Holiday cards taken care of, Contact me!
